Journey of the OJT: Day 5

 Hi everyone. This is my Fifth day on my Journey of the OJT. On this day, I continue making the system. And since last time as distributed the task to my OJT partners, I ask them today if they were done making their task. The landing page which is made by Vincent were almost done. So, I ask for the file and then implement it to our system. Kym, n f my OJT partners, were task to finish the database of the eBooks. And to avoid hassle, I ask him to make the database in my device. He was fast making the task. So, after quite some time, he finishes the database that I ask. then after telling me that he's done with his task, I then continue making the system while they are doing the encoding. On the afternoon, we are all busy doing our assigned task. few Hours later, around 3 pm, our supervisor, Ma'am Gene Altavano, together with Ma'am Helen Moral  Nasalita-Montero, pay visit to check on us. It been a long day without update on my blog. We were busy finishing up the books that are needed to be encoded in the Microsoft excel. Suddenly, we realized that we are also task to create a system for eBooks of the library. So, we decided to ask ma'am Gene for the sample data that we will be using in our system. However, she was not around in the office. we were told to wait for a while because she went outside to do some business. after some time, we manage to have an opportunity to have a discussion with ma'am Gene and ma'am Helen about the task assign to us. we have presented our ideas and they also have suggestions. they are looking forward n using our system for it will help them a lot. On the afternoon, the sample data is ready, and so we ask for it to take a look and discover some key points that we may be using in our system. then as my OJT partners do the encoding of books, I started making the foundation of the system. Welcome to my blog about the 3 rd day of my on - the - job training ( O J T ). Nothing much happens. we continue our task on encoding and were almost done with it. just a little push and were done. however, we ask permission for early out as we want to register in the biometric system. Today , we had our bi ometric registration . This was the first step to officially become part of the company . I was a little nervous , but I was also excited to start learning more about the company . The whole process was quite quick and easy. I felt relieved after it was done, as I knew that I was officially part of the company. This was an important milestone for me in my OJT. On the second day of my O J T , I had the incredible opportunity to meet the University President . Although I didn 't get the chance to talk with him , it was a very hum bling experience to see him in person and to greet him with a smile and a bow . I was very excited to meet the President , as it was the first time, I had ever been in the same room with a high - ranking university official . I was also a bit nervous , knowing that he was the person in charge of the university and that this meeting was of utmost importance . However , the President was very busy and didn 't have time to talk with us . We had to content ourselves with merely observing him from a distance . On the first day of our O J T program , we have met our supervisor to go over the expectations and guidelines of the program . Our supervisor, Ma'am Gene Altavano, explained the importance of the OJT students(us) following the rules and regulations of the program , and how it would help us succeed . She also discussed the number of hours we must complete , and any special tasks that may be required . We were asked to provide feedback and ask any questions we may have . Ma'am Gene was eager to answer all of their questions and set clear expectations for the program . The meeting was a great opportunity for us to get to know our supervisor and start the program off on the right foot .
